STANFORD, Calif. – Junior right hander Tristan Beck was named Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week, as announced Tuesday by the conference.
Beck, who hails from Corona, California, made his first start in 630 days for Friday's season-opening 5-1 win over No. 17 Cal State Fullerton. He lasted six innings, striking out five while walking one and allowing one run.

Stanford returns to action this week when it hosts Rice for a four-game series at Sunken Diamond. Thursday and Friday's games are set for 6 p.m. PT, Saturday's game is at 1 p.m. and the series finale on Sunday kicks off at 11 a.m. All four contests will air at GoStanford.com.
