Pac-12 Player of the Week

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford junior Reid Travis has been voted the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

The forward averaged a double-double in leading the Cardinal to a sweep of the Washington schools this past week. Stanford defeated Washington, 94-78, and Washington State, 86-84, to improve to 10-6 in the Pac-12. Stanford enters the final week of the regular season in third place in the Pac-12 standings, behind Arizona (12-4) and USC (12-5).

Travis averaged 26.5 points and 10.0 rebounds, while shooting 60 percent (18-of-30) from the field in the Cardinal's two wins.

Travis, a member of the Peter Sauer Captainship, scored a career-high 33 points and collected nine rebounds in last Thursday's 16-point victory over Washington. He posted 23 points in the first half against the Huskies.

In Saturday's win over Washington State, the forward recorded his 10th double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Travis, a Pac-12 Player of the Year candidate, ranks fourth in the conference in scoring (19.3 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (7.9 rpg). He ranks in the top-five in the Pac-12 in 10 categories overall, including scoring average, rebounding average, free throw attempts (first), field goals made (second), field goals attempted (second), total points (third), double-doubles (third), free throws made (fourth), total rebounds (fifth) and offensive rebounds per game (fifth).

Monday marked Travis' first career Pac-12 Player of the Week honor. Travis is the second Stanford player to win the Pac-12 Player of the Week award this season. Freshman Daejon Davis captured player of the week honors on Jan. 15, following Stanford's road sweep of the Washington schools.
