STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford will begin spring practice Tuesday at the Elliott Practice Fields. Tuesday's practice will kick off the first of two spring sessions, concluding with the Cardinal and White Spring Game on April 14 at Cagan Stadium. The event will be televised live at 1 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Networks.
The Cardinal and White Spring Game is open to the public. Admission and parking is free.
Stanford's practices on March 3 (10 a.m. - 12:20 p.m. PT), March 11 (11:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.) and April 7 (10:05-11:40 a.m.) will be open to the public.
The first session of spring practice concludes March 11, and after the University's finals week and spring break, the second session will begin April 3.
Stanford's NFL Pro Timing Day is slated for March 22. This is an annual combine-style event featuring Stanford's draft eligible players. All 32 NFL teams are expected to attend. The field events conducted at Siebel Practice Field are open to the public with a start time of 11 a.m., and will be streamed live on ESPN3.
Six former Stanford student-athletes have received invitations to attend the NFL Scouting Combine: Offensive lineman David Bright, outside linebacker Peter Kalambayi, cornerback Quenton Meeks, defensive tackle Harrison Phillips, safety Justin Reid and tight end Dalton Schultz. The NFL Scouting Combine will be held Feb. 27-March 5 in Indianapolis. NFL Network will televise the event from March 2-5.
The 2018 NFL Draft will be will be held April 26-28 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Stanford finished the 2017 season with a 9-5 record, and six of those wins came at Stanford Stadium. The 2018 campaign will be the eighth for Bradford M. Freeman Director of Football David Shaw. He has an overall record of 73-22 with three Pac-12 titles and two wins in the Rose Bowl. Stanford won at least 11 games four times and had at least 10 wins five times under Shaw, while also going to a bowl game every season in which he has been the head coach.
