STANFORD, Calif. – Top-ranked Stanford aims for its third consecutive conference title this week at the Pac-12 Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Federal Way, Washington.

"We're looking forward to another great week of racing while we work towards qualifying a full squad for the NCAA Championships," said Goldman Family Director of Men's Swimming Ted Knapp.

The No. 1 Cardinal (6-0, 5-0 Pac-12) completed its first undefeated regular season since 2011 with a 151-149 win over previously top-ranked Cal at Avery Aquatics Center on Feb. 17. Last season, Stanford won its second consecutive Pac-12 championship and 64th in program history.

Three in a Row?
Stanford aims for its third consecutive Pac-12 championship after beating out Cal for the crown in 2016 and 2017. Last season, Grant Shoults set a program record en route to claiming the 500-yard freestyle championship – fellow freshman True Sweetser was second. Sweetser claimed the 1,650-yard freestyle, with Shoults and Liam Egan rounding out the podium. Bradley Christensen won the 1-meter and Tarek Abdelghany captured the platform title, with Stanford divers scoring more points than any other school. In 2016, Sam Perry won both the 50 and 100-yard freestyles, while Egan was the 500 free champion.
