STANFORD, Calif. - No. 1 Stanford hosts Saint Mary's on Friday, Feb. 9, at 1:30 p.m. in its home opener at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

The Cardinal (1-1) is navigating through a road-heavy start to the season, having played four of its first five matches away from The Farm.

Stanford has been dominant at home, winning 37 of its last 39 matches over the last three seasons combined. The Cardinal has not lost at Taube since March 22, 2016, in a 4-3 setback against Pepperdine.

Despite last weekend's 7-0 loss at No. 2 Vanderbilt, Stanford will hold down the top spot in the poll for one more week. That's because team rankings are not published the week of the ITA National Indoor Championship, which takes place this weekend in Wisconsin.

Stanford cruised past San Jose State 6-1 two weeks ago in its season opener.

The Cardinal has been short-handed in its first two matches, playing without junior All-American Melissa Lord. Leading the way in singles are Emily Arbuthnott (11-6 overall, 1-1 duals), Michaela Gordon (10-2 overall, 1-1 duals) and Janice Shin (10-2 overall, 1-1 duals).

Arbuthnott and Gordon make up Stanford's top doubles team at 8-2 overall and 1-1 in duals.
