STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford shifts its focus to conference play this weekend, visiting Utah for a three-game series starting Saturday afternoon.

Stanford (19-8) enters its Pac-12 opener having already matched its win total from 2017, when the Cardinal finished 19-32. With its next victory, Stanford will reach the 20-win mark for the first time since a 30-25 campaign in 2014.

The Cardinal, which has won six in a row and 10 of its last 11, is the only Pac-12 school to have not yet played a conference game. Utah (15-11, 0-3 Pac-12) was swept in a three-game set at Arizona last weekend.

Stanford has played only two road games this season, coming away with a doubleheader split at Sacramento State on Feb. 22.

The Cardinal is coming off a 13-day break, winning all six games at its own Stanford Easton Classic at Smith Family Stadium.

Teaghan Cowles continues to lead Stanford offensively, batting .413 while also leading the squad in hits (38), runs (22) and total bases (51). Hannah Howell and Alyssa Horeczko are right behind, with both players hitting .352.

The stolen base remains a consistent weapon for Stanford, which ranks third in the conference with 39 thefts in 48 attempts. Leading the charge is Cowles, who has yet to be thrown out in 14 attempts.

Maddy Dwyer (11-5, 0.79 ERA, 97.1 IP, 62 H, 64 K) has anchored Stanford in the circle, backed up by Kiana Pancino (6-2, 2.17 ERA, 58.0 IP, 38 H, 43 K).
