The Lowdown
• After nearly a month-long break, No. 4 Stanford gets back to action this week at the San Diego State March Mayhem in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
• This is the sixth edition of the tournament will feature a match-play extravaganza for the fourth consecutive season at The Farms Golf Club.
• The tournament gets underway Monday for the first round before the event splits into championship and consolation brackets. Second-round matches will be contested in the afternoon on Monday, followed by third and fourth-round clashes on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.
• Stanford's last event, the Bruin Wave Invitational, featured a third-place team finish and a second-place showing by Albane Valenzuela.
• Stanford has finished at least third or better in each of its seven events on the season.
• During the fall portion of the 2017-18 season, Stanford shelved four top-three finishes. The Cardinal also placed first in the stroke play portion of the East Lake Cup.
The Field
• San Diego State will host the 12-team event. Along with No. 4 Stanford, the field includes No. 1 UCLA, No. 6 Texas, No 10 USC, No. 13 Northwestern, No. 18 Colorado, Iowa State, Baylor, BYU, San Diego State, Brigham Young and Cal.

The Next Time Out
• Following the March Mayhem, the Cardinal will turn around and head to Napa, California, for the Silverado Showdown (April 8-10).
