STANFORD, Calif. – Seventeen Stanford swimmers and divers were selected to the Pac-12 Conference All-Academic team, as announced Monday by Commissioner Larry Scott.
Stanford's 17 selections were the most of any school and included six first teamers – Tarek Abdelghany (computer science), Matt Anderson (human biology), Ryan Dudzinski (science, technology & society), Ted Miclau (human biology), Hank Poppe (undeclared) and True Sweetser (undeclared).
Abrahm DeVine (computer science), Andrew Liang (economics), James Murphy (undeclared), Sam Perry (economics), Grant Shoults (undeclared), Jack Walsh (management science & engineering) and Brad Zdroik (undeclared) were named to the second team. Cole Cogswell (product design), Liam Egan (economics) and Benjamin Ho (undeclared) also picked up honorable mentions.
Stanford's 2017-18 season wrapped up on Saturday night with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championships. Abrahm DeVine highlighted the four-day meet with a win in the 400-yard individual medley, Stanford's first 400 IM title since 1998 and the first individual championship since 2015.
