Synchro All-Americans

STANFORD, Calif. – Seniors Clare McGovern and Erica Slavin led a contingent of five Stanford student-athletes named All-Americans this week following their performances at the U.S Collegiate Championships in Arizona.

Also selected were junior Rachel Hyon, and freshmen Caitlin Klauer and Jacklyn Luu.

It marked the third consecutive year McGovern and Slavin have been picked, and the second for Hyon.

McGovern, an economics major from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, won her first national title in the solo free routine after finishing second the previous two years. She also teamed with Slavin and Klauer to capture the trio routine.

Slavin, an architectural design major from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, combined with Klauer to place second in the duet competition, while Hyon and Luu took third.

Stanford finished a close second to Ohio State in U.S. Collegiate National Championships, losing 84.8000 to 84.8667.
