STANFORD, Calif. -- For the second consecutive week and third time this season, No. 13 Stanford lacrosse swept the weekly Pac-12 awards. Freshman Ali Baiocco earned Offensive Player of the Week honors and junior Julia Massaro was named Defensive Player of the Week.
Baiocco recorded 11 points on six goals and five assists to lead Stanford (9-3, 6-1 Pac-12) to a Pac-12 road sweep of Arizona State and No. 15 USC last weekend. Stanford moved into sole possession of first place in the Pac-12 after Ali totaled a career-high six points (four goals, two assists) in a 14-11 comeback victory over the Trojans on Sunday. In a first-place battle, Baiocco's first three goals either tied the game or gave Stanford the lead, while her final tally put Stanford ahead by two with just 5:49 remaining. On Friday, Baiocco added five more points in a 20-8 win over Arizona State with two goals and a career-high three assists.

Massaro recorded eight draw controls, five ground balls and two caused turnovers in a weekend sweep that extended Stanford's winning streak to six. Massaro led a defensive attack that held USC to just one goal over the final 21:27 as Stanford rallied for the Top 25 victory. She won five draw controls against the Trojans, including three in Stanford's second half comeback. She also picked up three ground balls and had two caused turnovers in the win over the Trojans. On Friday, she led a Cardinal defense that allowed just eight goals while she scooped two ground balls and won three draw controls against the Sun Devils.

This is the first honor for both Baiocco and Massaro. Stanford swept the weekly conference awards on March 5 with senior Kelsey Murray and senior Allie DaCar, and also swept the honors on March 26 with freshman Galen Lew and DaCar.
The Cardinal is a half game ahead of Colorado (7-4, 5-1 Pac-12) for the top spot in the Pac-12. The Buffaloes, who rallied from a seven-goal deficit in Boulder to beat Stanford in the first-ever Pac-12 lacrosse game, will visit The Farm for a rematch inside the Stanford football stadium on Friday, April 13 at 7 p.m. PT
Prior to that, Stanford goes out-of-conference for the last time this season. The Cardinal welcomes UC Davis and Fresno State to The Farm -- a midweek matchup with the Aggies on Thursday at 6 p.m., and a Sunday matinee at noon against the Bulldogs.
