STANFORD, Calif./PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Stanford sailing won its home invite, finished second at the Dellenbaugh Women's and was ninth at the Lynne Marchiando Team Race over the weekend. 

Stanford, which will host the women's conference championships on April 14-15, won the St. Francis Invite on the bay. The Cardinal finished with 151 points to top the field of 17 teams. Hawaii was second with 162 and USC was third with 170. Skipper Romain Screve and crew Kennedy Placek were dominant in the A Division. They won 10 of the 17 races to finish with just 38 points -- UC Santa Barbara was second with 77 points. In the B Division, skipper Nestor Cano and crew Olivia Gugliemini were fifth with 113 points.

On the other coast, Stanford finished second only to host Brown at the Dellenbaugh Women's. The Bears took home the trophy with 180 points, while Stanford finished with 234, besting a competitive field of 18 teams. Skipper Julia Lambert and crew Victoria Thompson and Sophia Sole finished third in the A Division with 127 points. They won two races and finished among the top three on six occasions. Meanwhile, in the B Division, skipper Mimi El-Khazindar and crew Meg Gerli and Haley Fox totaled 107 points to finish fourth with 12 top-five finishes, including each of the last seven races. 

At the Lynne Marchiando Team Race, Stanford finished with a record of 12-10 to place ninth among the 16 teams. Skipper Jacob Rosenberg was with crew Kathryn Booker, and skipper Will La Dow was with crew Elena Vandenberg, while skipper William Marshall was with crew Taylor Kirkpatrick and Cassie Obel.

Stanford has one regatta next weekend when the Cardinal heads to New Haven, Connecticut, for the Wick Women's, April 7-8.
