STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford will play host to the NCAA Women's San Francisco Golf Regional Championships (May 7-9) at TPC Harding Park.
Stanford, the region's No. 2 seed, will be joined by top-seeded UCLA, South Carolina, Kent State, Oklahoma State, North Carolina, Colorado, Louisville, North Carolina State, Mississippi, Cal, San Diego State, Pepperdine, Oregon, Long Beach State, Grand Canyon, Princeton and Fairleigh Dickinson, it was announced Wednesday.
Stanford enters the NCAA Regional Championships after earlier this week finishing third in the Pac-12 Conference Championships. The Cardinal has finished third or better in each of its stroke play events on the season.
Four 54-hole regional competitions will be conducted, each with 18 teams and six individuals not on those teams. From each NCAA Regional site, the low six teams -- and the low three individuals not on those teams -- will advance to the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships finals at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
The four regional sites include TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California, hosted by Stanford; the University of Texas Golf Club in Austin, Texas, hosted by Texas; the University Ridge Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin, hosted by Wisconsin; and the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course & Club in Tallahassee, Florida, hosted by Florida State.
