STANFORD, Calif. – No. 13 Stanford heads to Seattle, Washington to take on No. 3 Washington in a dual Friday afternoon on the Montlake Cut.
"Excellent coaching, recruiting and tradition have been the hallmark of UW rowing for over 100 years," said head coach Craig Amerkhanian of the matchup with Washington. "This race, on the storied Montlake Cut, will be a strong test for our varsity eight."
The races, originally slated for Saturday morning, were moved from Saturday morning to Friday due to impending weather conditions in Seattle.
The Cardinal recently competed at the San Diego Crew Classic, where the team's third varsity eight highlighted the weekend's racing with a second-place finish. Stanford's varsity eight finished fourth in the Copley Cup, recording a time of 6:12.872.
