STANFORD, Calif. – Junior Areta Buness scored four times and senior Kelsey Murray finished with five points as No. 13 Stanford lacrosse extended its winning streak to eight with an 18-2 victory over Fresno State at Cagan Stadium on Sunday.

Stanford (11-3), which has won eight in a row for the first time since a 10-game stretch in 2015, scored the last 12 goals of the first half to take a 13-1 lead into intermission, and cruised to victory in the second half.

Fresno State (9-5) tied the game at 1-1 less than five minutes into the contest, but Stanford held the Bulldogs scoreless for the next 45:02 of game time.

Thirteen different Cardinal recorded a point. Murray had a hat trick and two assists, while freshman Ali Baiocco also had a hat trick and freshman Taylor Scornavacco scored twice with an assist. Freshman Galen Lew had two helpers, freshman Katherine Gjertsen had an assist and team-high four ground balls, and Buness added three ground balls, two caused turnovers and two draw controls.

Senior Allie DaCar scooped up three ground balls, made five saves and allowed just two goals in 60 minutes for a .714 save percentage.

Sophomore Daniella McMahon had a game-high four draw controls as Stanford dominated that category, 18-4. The Cardinal also led 47-9 in shots and 31-15 in ground balls.

This was the last regular season game at Cagan Stadium for Stanford's seniors. Stanford has two more home games and resumes Pac-12 play with another first-place matchup next weekend, but those will be played at the Stanford football stadium.

The Cardinal is tied with Colorado (9-4, 6-1 Pac-12) for the top spot in the Pac-12. The Buffaloes, who rallied from a seven-goal deficit in Boulder to beat Stanford in the first-ever Pac-12 lacrosse game, will visit The Farm for a rematch inside the Stanford Stadium on Friday at 7 p.m. PT. Friday's matchup will also be the One Love game for Stanford.

Stanford will then celebrate Senior Day on Sunday, April 15 at Stanford Stadium against Oregon at 1 p.m.
