NORFOLK, Va. - Stanford sailing finished fifth at the Team Race National Championships over the weekend.

Stanford finished with a 14-8 record and just missed the top four. College of Charlston won the title with a 20-5 record.

The Cardinal went 10-5 in round robin competition and advanced to the top eight where the team finished 4-3. Stanford was led by skipper Jacob Rosenberg and crew Kathryn Booker, skipper Will La Dow and crew Taylor Kirkpatrick, and skipper Romain Screve and crew Kennedy Placek, Elena VandenBerg and Madeline Bubb.

Earlier in the week, Stanford finished 15th in the Sperry Women's National Championship. A full recap is here.

The National Championships continue with the Coed championship on May 29, lasting for four days. All events are hosted by Old Dominion University at the ODU Sailing Center.
