STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford is headed to Europe for a 12-day foreign tour that will feature competitions against national teams with stops in Slovenia, Croatia and Italy.

Departing the States on June 18, the Cardinal will arrive in Graz, Austia on June 19 and bus across the border to Maribor, Slovenia for five nights. The stay will include matches versus the Slovenia National Team, twice, the Slovenia U19 National Team and the Serbian U19 Team.

The team will have time for sightseeing, a ski gondola and other cultural activities while in Slovenia. A day trip to Ljubljana and Bled, Slovenia is also scheduled for June 22.

The team will bus to Umag, Croatia on June 24. A zipline adventure is set for June 25 in Pazin before a match against the Croatian Federation Team. On June 26, the group will depart for Venice, Italy for one night to explore the city.

On June 27, after a stop in Verona, the team will head to Milan for its final destination of the tour. While in Milan, the team will visit the Duomo and Sforza Castle and Park, have time for sightseeing and shopping and will train with Menca's U17 National Team. The Cardinal will arrive back in the United States on June 30.

Incoming freshmen Holly Campbell and Mackenzie Fidelak and outgoing senior Merete Lutz will join the team on the tour. The trip represents the Cardinal's first international journey since visiting China in 2011.
