CRCA Scholar-Athletes

STANFORD, Calif. – Eight Cardinal were named National Scholar-Athletes by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) for their academic achievements, as announced by the organization this week.

The distinction honors student-athletes with a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher for their careers.

Stanford's honorees include Anika Christofferson (Human Biology), Lindy Clute (Linguistics), Megan Cvitanovic (Human Biology), Devin Norder (Management Science & Engineering), India Robinson (Human Biology), Alie Rusher (Human Biology), Meg Saunders (Undeclared), and Leigh Warner (Human Biology).

The national academic honors come on the heels of the Cardinal's Pac-12 All-Academic honors. Stanford placed 18 on the conference all-academic teams, the second-most of any Pac-12 program.

Christofferson, Clute, Cvitanovic, Robinson, Rusher and Warner each earned first team all-academic honors at the conference level. Norder and Saunders were named to the all-academic second team.

Stanford, ranked in the top 10 all season, finished fourth as a team at the NCAA Championships in Sarasota, Florida. It was the team's third podium finish in the last five seasons. The Cardinal's varsity eight also turned in a podium finish, placing fourth in the NCAA Championships.
