Cardinal in the Classroom

STANFORD, Calif. – Fourteen Stanford baseball student-athletes were named to the Pac-12 All-Academic teams, as announced Thursday.

Sophomore Maverick Handley (bioengineering) led the Cardinal on the first team with Tristan Beck (science, technology and society), Zach Grech (management science and engineering) and Jack Little (management science and engineering) making the second team.

Daniel Bakst (communication), Beau Branton (management science and engineering), Kris Bubic (communication), Andrew Daschbach (science, technology and society), Nico Hoerner (American Studies), Jesse Kuet (economics), Will Matthiessen (management science and engineering), Erik Miller (science, technology and society), Kyle Stowers (communications) and Alec Wilson (management science and engineering) each earned honorable mentions.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average, be a starter or significant contributor, and have completed at least one year in residence at their current institution.
