STANFORD, Calif. – NCAA champions Mackenzie Little and Sean McGorty are among 25 Stanford athletes named to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's All-Academic teams for men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field.

Stanford's honorees count 16 women and nine men. Athletes are nominated if they have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25, reached NCAA competition indoors or outdoors, had a high enough national or regional ranking.

Little, a junior, captured the NCAA women's javelin title and McGorty, a graduate student, won the men's 5,000 crown at the outdoor championships in June. Among Stanford honorees was 2018 U.S. discus champ and Pac-12 co-Woman of the Year Valarie Allman.

This is the fourth such honor for six Cardinal women: Allman, Elise Cranny, Vanessa Fraser, Gaby Gayles, Lena Giger, and Marisa Kwiatkowski. They combined for 34 All-America honors, including 11 by Cranny and 10 by Fraser.

Jack Keelan and Tristen Newman for the men also earned four career USTFCCCA All-Academic honors.
