Appearing on every defensive snap for the third straight week, Blake Martinez made nine tackles and defended one pass in Green Bay's 31-17 loss at Washington. Through three weeks, Martinez's 81.4 Pro Football Focus grade ranks seventh among 83 snap-eligible linebackers – his 83.5 grade in pass coverage also ranks seventh, a remarkable improvement from a 44.7 mark in his first two NFL seasons.

One week after catching a career-high 14 receptions, McCaffrey showed his exceptional versatility by setting career highs in carries (28) and rushing yards (184) in Carolina's 31-21 win against Cincinnati. Playing all 67 offensive snaps, 15 more than any other Panthers skill position player, McCaffrey accounted for 51 percent of Carolina's total yards despite catching just two passes. His 271 rushing yards rank third in the NFL entering Week 4 while his 428 yards from scrimmage rank second.

Murphy played a big role in Buffalo's surprise 27-6 win at Minnesota, registering one sack, one forced fumble, three total pressures and one pass defended on 55 percent of defensive snaps. He eventually left the game with an ankle injury, but finished with an excellent 79.3 overall grade from Pro Football Focus on the day. His status is currently listed as day-to-day.

Richard Sherman exited San Francisco's 38-27 loss at Kansas City after making two tackles and defending one pass, a deep ball in the direction of All-Pro Tyreek Hill, on 36 defensive snaps. He was targeted twice without allowing a catch – in three weeks, Sherman allowed one catch on six targets. The calf injury, believed to be related to Sherman's season-ending injury in 2017, is expected to keep him out a few weeks.
