STANFORD, Calif. – Two Cardinal were honored with Pac-12 and National Player of the Week honors, as announced Tuesday.

Sophia Smith was named National Player of the Week by TopDrawerSoccer, as well as Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week. A freshman from Fossil Ridge, Colorado, Smith netted the game-winning goal in each of Stanford's wins last week, including the golden-goal in the 97th minute of Stanford's 1-0 win over No. 2 USC on Sunday. In 10 appearances, Smith has six goals and two assists while leading the Cardinal in shots (46) and shots on goals (21).

Alison Jahansouz, a redshirt senior from Huntington Beach, California, earns her second Pac-12 Goalkeeper of the Week honor after claiming the award on Sept. 11. She played every minute of Stanford's wins over No. 16 UCLA and No. 2 USC last week, making four saves in Thursday's win before registering three to earn the shutout on Sunday.

She owns an undergraduate degree in computer science and is on track to earn a masters' degree in management science and engineering at the end of Stanford's fall quarter. In 841:59 minutes this season, she is 8-0-1 with four shutouts, a 0.818 save percentage and a 0.64 goals-against average.

No. 1 Stanford returns to action when it travels to play Oregon on Thursday at 5 p.m. and Oregon State on Sunday at 3 p.m. Both games will air on Pac-12 Networks with live statistics available at GoStanford.com.
