STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford sophomore Ben Hallock was voted the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week, following his nine-goal performance in two Cardinal wins.
The two-meter standout scored a career-best eight goals in Sunday's 16-10 victory over No. 11 UC Irvine. It's the most goals in a game by a Cardinal since Bret Bonanni recorded nine scores against MIT on Sept. 25, 2015. Hallock registered a hat trick in the first 4:09 of the contest and had five goals by halftime.

The sophomore leads Stanford with 51 goals in the 17 games he has played in this season (missed the first San Jose State game while playing with USA Water Polo in Germany). He ranks second in the MPSF in scoring at 3.00 goals-per-game. The sophomore owns 107 career goals.

He helped No. 2 Stanford improve to 17-1 overall, matching its best start in 10 seasons.
Monday was Hallock's fifth career conference weekly honor. He was also voted the MPSF Player of the Week earlier this month (Oct. 8), and was recognized as the MPSF Newcomer of the Week three times last season. Hallock was named the MPSF Newcomer of the Year at the end of the 2017 campaign.
No. 2 Stanford returns to action on Saturday at No. 3 UCLA at 3:30 p.m.
