TULSA, Okla. – Sophomore Axel Geller and freshman Alexandre Rotsaert each won in straight sets Thursday to advance to the second round of the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships.
Geller, ranked No. 48 in the ITA preseason poll, defeated Texas' Christian Sigsgaard, 6-2, 7-5, Thursday to move on to the second round. He will face Mississippi State's Giovanni Oradini, the third overall seed and the No. 5 ranked player in the ITA preseason rankings, on Friday at 7 a.m. PT in the second round.
Rotsaert downed Wake Forest's Melios Efstathiou, 7-5, 6-4, in Thursday's main draw opening round. He will face Texas A&M's Valentin Vacherot, No. 25 in the ITA preseason rankings, in the second round on Friday at 7 a.m. PT.

The week-long event, held at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the University of Tulsa campus, began with qualifying rounds this past Monday and will conclude with the championship match this coming Monday, Oct. 8. Following second-round action on Friday, the Round of 16 and quarterfinals will be contested on Saturday, with semifinal action Sunday and the championship match Monday.
