SALT LAKE CITY – Behind junior Audriana Fitzmorris, No. 2 Stanford held off No. 24 Utah in four sets, Friday, at the Huntsman Center.
 
Fitzmorris registered a season-high 18 kills on .405 hitting to go with five blocks to lead the Cardinal (13-1, 5-0 Pac-12). Junior libero Morgan Hentz finished with a match-best 26 digs.
 
The Utes (9-7, 1-4 Pac-12) gave the Cardinal all it could handle in the first two sets, forcing Stanford into 18 hitting errors.
 
Junior outside hitter Kathryn Plummer also turned in 18 kills to go with a season-high 13 digs for her fourth double-double of the season. Sophomore outside hitter Meghan McClure also posted a double-double with 15 kills and 12 digs.
 


As a team, Stanford hit .224 and held Utah to a .134 clip. The Cardinal finished with a season-high 74 digs and out blocked the Utes, 13.0 to 11.0.
 
Junior setter Jenna Gray, who leads the nation in assists per set, had 48 assists, seven digs and a season-high four kills. Senior middle blocker Tami Alade finished with 10 blocks, one shy of her career-high, while freshman Holly Campbell had five kills and two blocks.
 


Defensive specialist Sidney Wilson came off the bench and recorded four service aces, tying her career-high. Senior middle blocker Courtney Bowen entered the match in the second and had a block, while junior Caitlin Keefe replaced Plummer in the back row for a portion of the third set.
 
Utah was led by outside hitter Dani Drews, who had 13 kills and nine digs. Kenzie Koerber added 11 kills on .310 hitting, while junior libero Brianna Doehrmann finished with 18 digs.
 
Stanford wraps up its trip at Colorado on Sunday. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m. PT on Pac-12 Networks.
