STANFORD, Calif. – Three talented student-athletes will join the Stanford women's gymnastics team after signing National Letters of Intent, head coach Tabitha Yim announced Wednesday.

Chloe Widner from Frisco, Texas, Addie Stonecipher from The Woodlands, Texas, and Jade Chrobok from Toronto, Canada will join the Cardinal for the 2020 campaign.

"It has been such a pleasure getting to know each of these young women and their families, and we are thrilled to welcome them to The Farm!" Yim said. "We have been so impressed with their tenacity and determination and know they will have an immediate impact on our team and culture."

"These women strive for excellence in every area of their lives and are excited for the opportunity to be challenged at the highest level both in the classroom and competition floor. We know our Stanford community will fall in love with these future Cardinal." Widner was a three-time State all-around champion (2016-18), a 2017 national floor champion, 2018 state vault, beam and floor champion, and competed on the Junior Olympic National Team in 2016 and 2017. In 2017, she was selected the Texas USAG JO Optional Gymnast of the Year.

"Chloe is incredibly artistic and known for her beautiful lines and execution," said Yim. "Hailing from Texas Dreams under the expertise of Chris & Kim Zmeskal Burdette, she is a Texas Gymnast of the Year and JO National champion! More importantly, Chloe is a character student, athlete and person who will represent Stanford with pride. We are thrilled to welcome her to the Stanford family."

Stonecipher has competed for Flips Texas Gymnastics since 2004 and currently trains at World Championships Centre. She qualified for the Junior Olympics in 2016 and 2017 and was a Junior Olympic National Team member in 2017, winning the floor championship and finishing fourth in all-around.

"Addie is a charismatic performer who will bring a spark of energy and passion to the competition floor," Yim said. "In addition to her top marks as JO National Champion, she is a strong leader and role model who inspires others with her work ethic, determination and grit. We look forward to having Addie as a student-athlete on The Farm."

Chrobok is an accomplished veteran who has competed with Gemini Gymnastics since 2010. At Elite Canada in 2017, she placed first in all-around and floor and finished second on beam and bars. Chrobok collected thirds in the all-around, bars and floor at the 2017 Canadian Championships, and took third in all-around and beam this year.

In 2017, she placed first on bars at the Pan American Championships in Peru, then earned third on beam and fourth in all-around at the 2018 World Cup in England. Chrobok also competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia, helping her team win gold.

"Jade is a seasoned competitor with experience on the international stage," Yim said. "As a Canadian National team member, she earned top honors at the Pan American, Commonwealth and World Cup Championships! We are excited to welcome Jade to The Farm and know her positive attitude and mindset will be instrumental in building on the strong tradition of success at Stanford."
