New for 2019

STANFORD, Calif. – Building to become an NCAA title contender again, Stanford begins its exciting 2019 home schedule on Jan. 27 by hosting defending national champion UCLA at 4 p.m. at Maples Pavilion.

For the first time in program history, tickets will be sold this season for what is expected to be an enhanced fan experience as the program continues its return to national prominence.

The other meets feature Pac-12 powerhouses Washington on Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. and Utah on Feb. 8 at 3 p.m. Both will be held at Maples Pavilion and offer reserved and general admission seating.

Last year, the Huskies finished No. 11 in the country while the Utes ranked No. 5.

The Cardinal concludes its home season on Feb. 24 by entertaining Arizona at 3 p.m. in Burnham Pavilion. Only general admission tickets will be sold.

Second-year head coach Tabitha Yim graduated 2018 Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year and 19-time All-American Elizabeth Price and looks to move forward with a focus on culture, teamwork, depth and consistency.

"It will truly be a team effort, with every person filling a role and contributing to our goals as a team and program," she said.

The 17-member Stanford roster includes 13 underclassmen, including five freshmen.

"We have a nice balance of youth and experience," said Yim '08, a 14-time All-American on The Farm. "The team has been consistent and persistent in its effort this fall and is eager to honor and build on the history of success on The Farm."

In addition to the attractive home schedule, which will showcase many of the top gymnasts in the country, the meets will offer youth programs the opportunity to perform and pose for pictures with the Cardinal following meets. Each meet will have a theme and include giveaways.

"Our student-athletes are thinking big and want to showcase their best attitude, effort and performances on the competition floor," said Yim of a Stanford program that has advanced to the NCAA Championships 16 times since 1992 and claimed five conference crowns. "We're excited to put on a good show."
