STANFORD, Calif. – Top-ranked Stanford women's lightweight rowing will host its first home dual of the season when it welcomes No. 3 Princeton to Redwood Shores this Saturday.
Last year, the Cardinal won all three races against the Tigers in New Jersey. The varsity eight won by open water over the Tigers, completing the Lake Carnegie course in 6:13.8.
Stanford and Princeton each fielded a pair of varsity fours in the other race. The Cardinal's two entries placed first and second, completing the course in 7:17.2 and 7:26.4. Princeton's two entries recorded times of 7:28.1 and 7:41.5.
Stanford head coach Kate Bertko rowed for Princeton and guided the Tigers to the 2006 NCAA Championship, rowing in the varsity eight.
