STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 2 Cardinal travels to Gold River, California, for the second time in three weeks to race in the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships at Lake Natoma on Saturday.
Stanford competed in the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) Championships at Lake Natoma on April 28 and 29. The first and second varsity eight boats each won their respective Grand Final in the annual regatta.
The Cardinal will race three boats in Saturday's regatta: the varsity eight, varsity four, and novice four. Racing will begin at 1:15 p.m. PT, and continue through 2 p.m.
The regatta is Stanford's last before the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Champions, where the Cardinal is the three-time defending champion. For the first time, the IRA will broadcast a national championship selection show. The broadcast will begin at 4:30 p.m. PT on Tuesday, May 13. Details on the selection show can be found here.
