CHICAGO – Three Cardinal were selected in the first seven picks of the 2019 National Women's Soccer League Draft, including Tierna Davidson going No. 1 overall to the Chicago Red Stars.

Joining Davidson in the first round were Jordan DiBiasi and Tegan McGrady, who were picked third and seventh, respectively, by the Washington Spirit. They join former teammate Andi Sullivan in the nation's capital, giving Stanford six first-round picks, all-time, and 12 draftees overall.

Davidson, who is currently on duty with the United States National Team, was the first overall selection, Stanford's second consecutive student-athlete picked first overall after Sullivan was picked by Washington in 2018. In 49 appearances, the 2018 U.S. Soccer Young Player of the Year leaves Stanford with six goals and eight assists to her name, anchoring a back line which led Stanford to its second national championship in 2017.

DiBiasi joins Sullivan in Washington after being picked third overall. In her four-year career, DiBiasi appeared in 92 of 93 games with 91 starts, 31 goals, including 15 game winners, 23 assists and 85 total points. A 2018 MAC Hermann Trophy finalist, DiBiasi captained Stanford to its eighth College Cup in 11 seasons as a senior.

McGrady was picked seventh overall by Washington, joining DiBiasi and Sullivan in the nation's capital. She made 72 appearances, including 61 starts, over four seasons with four goals and 13 assists. A major contributor to both the attack and defense, McGrady earned first-team All-Region and first-team All-Pac-12 recognition as a senior in 2018.
