STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford outside hitter Jordan Ewert has been selected the MPSF Offensive Player of the Week for January 14-20.
Ewert led Stanford to a split with No. 2 UC Irvine last week on The Farm. The Antioch native averaged team-highs in kills per set (4.88) and digs per set (2.75) to go with 5.25 points per set.
In the win over the previously unbeaten Anteaters, Ewert registered a season-high 20 kills and had five digs and an ace to give the Cardinal its best start to a season (5-0) since 2001. In Saturday's loss, he turned in a double-double with 19 kills on .350 hitting and a career-high 17 digs to lead the team.

It marks the second career weekly honor for Ewert, and the third straight week a Cardinal player has been recognized. Sophomore Jaylen Jasper garnered offensive recognition on Jan. 7 and setter Paul Bischoff took home defensive honors on Jan. 14.
No. 8 Stanford hosts No. 15 Purdue Fort Wayne for a pair of matches on The Farm, beginning Friday at 6 p.m. in Maples Pavilion. Saturday's contest will take place at 7 p.m. in Burnham Pavilion.
