STANFORD, Calif. - No. 4 Stanford resumes play with two more matches this week, shaking off a nearly two-week absence since its last competition.

Stanford (6-1) will host Santa Clara (3-5) on Thursday afternoon, in an added match after the team's original meeting on Feb. 15 was postponed due to rain. Recent inclement weather has greatly affected the Cardinal, which has not taken the court since Feb. 23 after last weekend's top-10 showdown against Texas was also cancelled due to rain. Stanford has already had three matches altered due to rain.

Three days later, the Cardinal begins Pac-12 play on the road at Oregon (6-5). In 2018, Stanford captured its third straight conference title overall, accomplishing the feat for the first time since 2010-12. The Cardinal has won 27 consecutive regular-season Pac-12 matches, with its last loss coming in the form of a 4-3 defeat at Arizona State back on March 5, 2016.

For the fifth straight week, Stanford leads the country with eight players appearing in the singles rankings, led by No. 17 Emily Arbuthnott (19-4, 6-1 duals) and No. 22 Michaela Gordon (11-7, 3-2 duals). Seniors Melissa Lord (11-7, 4-2 duals) and Caroline Lampl (15-6, 6-0 duals) are both closing in on 100 career singles wins, with Lampl at 91 and Lord at 84.

The Cardinal is also well represented with four ranked doubles teams. Lampl and Kimberly Yee (11-4 overall, 5-0 duals) check in at No. 11 while Arbuthnott and Gordon (7-3 overall, 2-0 duals) round out the top-20 at No. 20.
