Stanford vs. Air Force Results Opens in a new window

STANFORD, Calif. - No. 2 Stanford received solid contributions across the board on Friday night, defeating No. 13 Air Force 415.750-392.500 in a dual meet at Burnham Pavilion.

The Cardinal held the upper hand in every event, with six different gymnasts capturing event titles.

The most notable performances came from Blake Sun on parallel bars and Josiah Eng on rings. Sun posted a career-high 14.950, which trails only Oklahoma's Yul Moldauer as the nation's top score this season. Eng recorded a season-best 14.900, good enough for the third-best mark in the country to date.

Among Stanford's other event winners: Bryan Perla (14.700) on floor, Joey Ringer (13.650) on pommel horse, Connor Lewis (14.700) on vault and David Jessen (14.100) on high bar.

Competing in the all-around for the sixth time this season, Grant Breckenridge totaled a score of 81.150.

Stanford returns to action on Saturday, March 30, hosting California at 4 p.m. in Burnham Pavilion. The MPSF Championships will then follow on April 6 in Norman, Okla.
