STANFORD, Calif. – Three players each scored four goals and No. 1 Stanford rolled to a 24-8 victory over No. 9 UC Davis on Friday night.
 
The Cardinal (18-1) poured in seven goals in the first quarter, seven in the second and six in the third as part of its 24-score performance, its sixth 20-goal outing of the season.
 
Makenzie Fischer got her hat trick in the first quarter and added a fourth late in the second quarter before playing limited minutes in the second half. Younger sister Aria Fischer scored with 1:50 to go in the first half and then contributed the Cardinal's first three goals of the third quarter as part of her four-goal night. Hannah Shabb was a little more balanced with her offensive contributions, adding one goal in the opening period, two in the second and one in the third. Shabb's four goals matched her career high.
 
Stanford scored the game's first five before the Aggies (17-11) got on the board. It was 6-2 Cardinal late in the first quarter when Stanford reeled off seven unanswered goals, culminating with a 6-on-5 score from Kat Klass with under a minute remaining in the first half.
 
Madison Berggren and Madison Stamen each added three goals and three assists for Stanford, which upped its winning streak to eight with the victory. Berggren scored the Cardinal's first two of the evening and then converted a penalty with 6:41 on the clock in the second quarter. Stamen had all three of her assists in the second quarter and all three of her goals in the fourth.
 
Emalia Eichelberger played the first 21:56 in the cage and made three saves before giving way to Thea Walsh for the final 10:04. Walsh made one stop.
 
Stanford concludes its regular season tomorrow against No. 20 San Jose State at 1 p.m. Stanford's seniors - Madison Berggren, Kat Klass, Cassidy Wiley and Mackenzie Wiley - will be honored in a pregame ceremony. A win tomorrow would earn Stanford its first undefeated MPSF regular season since 2015.
 
The Cardinal has already clinched the No. 1 seed in the upcoming MPSF Championship, which it will host from April 26-28. Stanford has a bye on April 26 and will begin in the semifinals on Saturday, April 27 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are now on sale by visiting gostanford.com/tickets.
