SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Stanford completed racing at the San Diego Crew Classic on Sunday, with the varsity eight and second varsity eight both in action in their respective finals.
The Cardinal varsity eight placed first in the B Final of the Jessop-Whittier Cup with a time of 06:52.113. Stanford outpaced openweight crews from Gonzaga ( 06:54.805) and Oklahoma (06:56.563).
Stanford's second varsity eight finished fourth in the Copley Cup final, also among openweight crews, with a time of 07:19.342.
The Cardinal returns to the water next weekend for the Knecht Cup in Cooper River, New Jersey.
