SAN FRANCISCO – Two Cardinal were named first team Pac-12 All-Academic on Thursday by Commissioner Larry Scott. Juniors Albane Valenzuela and Ziyi Wang were named to the first team while Andrea Lee, Mika Liu and Kelsey Zeng were honorable mention.
Valenzuela holds a 4.02 in political science while Wang has a 3.84 in history. Valenzuela has a scoring average of 72.23 this season and has posted one win while tying for first at Pac-12 Championships. She is now a two-time first team member. Wang has a scoring average of 74.25 and has posted two Top 10s this season.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and appear in at least 50 percent of their team's competition.
