Six All-Conference

STANFORD, Calif. - A league-best six members of the Stanford women's lacrosse team were named All-Pac-12 on Thursday, including first-team honorees Julia Massaro and Ali Baiocco.

Senior Genesis Lucero, junior Mikaela Watson, junior Daniella McMahon and sophomore Katherine Gjertsen earned second team recognition.

Baiocco, who leads the Pac-12 with 78 points this year, is just the fourth Cardinal to reach the 50-goal plateau in a season. Her 78 points is third-most in school history behind the program's all-time career points leader Kelsey Murray, who had 87 in 2017 and 89 last season. She has also added 28 assists, which is fifth-most in a season in school history.

Massaro holds the program records for draw controls in a game, season and career -- all of which she set this season. The defender broke her own school record with 101 draw controls this season in addition to 11 caused turnovers and a team-high 41 ground balls.

Gjertsen is second on the team with 39 goals and 53 points, while Lucero is second among Cardinal with 75 draw controls in addition to 15 goals, nine assists, 12 caused turnovers and 27 ground balls.

Watson is third on the team with 33 goals and 47 points and has also added 23 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers this season, while McMahon leads the Cardinal with 20 caused turnovers and is third among Stanford players with 32 ground balls in addition to 26 goals and 40 points.

Stanford finished the regular season at 13-5 overall. The Cardinal was 7-3 in conference play and earned the third seed at the Pac-12 Tournament where they defeated Oregon, 17-6, and then fell to second-seeded Colorado, 16-9, in the semifinals. The team awaits the NCAA Tournament selections on Sunday at 5 p.m. PT on NCAA.com.
