Multis Results Opens in a new window

TUCSON, Ariz. – Stanford freshman Allie Jones placed 11th in the heptathlon at the Pac-12 Multi-Events Championships on Saturday and Sunday at Ray P. Drachman Stadium.

Jones scored 4,980 points and was second among freshmen in the seven-event two-day competition.

Jones got off to a strong start, with the second-best mark in the opening event, the 100 hurdles, of 14.15. She went to earn lifetime bests in the high jump (5-3 3/4, 1.62 meters) and the 200 (25.30). She finished the four-even first day in seventh, with 3,154 points.

On Sunday, Jones lost some ground in the long jump, though her javelin and 800 were not far off her top marks.

Her top score of 5,041, from the Bryan Clay Invitational, has Jones at No. 9 on Stanford's all-timer performer's list and No. 4 among Stanford frosh.

The Pac-12 Championships are next for Stanford, including Jones. The Cardinal competes Saturday and Sunday on the same University of Arizona track.
