EAST LANSING, Michigan – No. 4 Stanford shot a 10-over 298 on Monday in the first round of the NCAA East Lansing Regional at Forest Akers West Golf Course. The Cardinal currently sits in a tie for eighth, four strokes off sixth-place Campbell. The top six teams advance from the Regionals to NCAA Championships in Fayetteville.

"We are on the wrong side of the cut line after day one," Margot and Mitch Milias Director of Women's Golf Anne Walker said. "The key takeaway is that it's day one, though. Over the course of the next two days, we will have plenty of opportunities to move ourselves into a stronger position and I fully expect us to do that. We have five experienced, seasoned players who know how to regroup and refocus."

Mika Liu led the way for the Cardinal with a 1-under 71. She carded four birdies on the day, going out with a 2-under 34 on the front nine. She currently sits in a tie for sixth. Andrea Lee carded a 3-over 75 in the first round with three birdies. Albane Valenzuela and Aline Krauter shot identical 4-over 76s while Ziyi Wang finished with a 6-over 78.

The Cardinal will be back on the course on Tuesday morning with tee times ranging from 5:03 a.m. PT – 5:47 a.m. PT.
