GOLD RIVER, Calif. — Stanford men's rowing completed the second day of the IRA Championships Saturday, with the varsity eight advancing to the Petite Final and the second varsity eight advancing to the Third Level Final.
The varsity eight began the morning in the first semifinal, placing sixth with a time of 5:49.435. The Cardinal crew will face Boston, Brown, Syracuse, Cornell, and Dartmouth in the Petite Final, which is scheduled for 11:04 a.m. PT Sunday morning.
Stanford's second varsity eight finished third in its semifinal, posting a time of 5:58.294. Racing in the Third Level Final, the Cardinal will race opposite Wisconsin, Columbia, Penn, Oregon State, and Hobart at 9:38 a.m.
The Cardinal's third varsity eight will also race in the Third Level Final, set for 9:22 a.m. tomorrow.
