STANFORD, Calif. – Back-to-back-to-back December games against Ohio State, Tennessee and Texas highlight the 2019-20 Stanford women's basketball nonconference schedule, which was announced Friday.
Tip times and broadcast information along with Stanford's Pac-12 schedule will be announced once television arrangements have been finalized. The Cardinal's home exhibition schedule will also be announced at a later date. Every game this upcoming season will again be carried via GoStanford.com's audio stream with Kevin Danna and Tim Swartz splitting play-by-play duties.
Stanford checks in at No. 3 in ESPN's early women's college basketball rankings and will host Oregon, Oregon State and UCLA in addition to Ohio State and Tennessee as part of its impressive home schedule next year. Season ticket membership deposits and group deposits are currently being accepted for 2019-20. For those interested in season ticket memberships, a $50 per-seat deposit (non-refundable) will ensure that you are able to choose from the best seats available, soon after current season ticket members have a chance to renew. Deposits will be applied to the final ticket purchase total.
Stanford's nonconference slate peaks when it hosts the Buckeyes in Maples Pavilion on Sunday, December 15 and Lady Volunteers on Wednesday, December 18 before heading to Austin, Texas to play the Longhorns on Saturday, December 21. Texas (No. 15) and Tennessee (No. 24) are also ranked in espnW's early top 25 for 2019-20.
The regular season kicks off in Maples on Tuesday, November 5 against Eastern Washington. Stanford will make the short drive north to play at San Francisco on Saturday, November 9 and return to campus for three straight at home against Northern Colorado (November 14), Gonzaga (November 17) and Buffalo (November 24).
The Cardinal will be in British Columbia over the Thanksgiving holiday for the Vancouver Showcase running from November 28 – November 30. Opponents for that tournament have yet to be determined.
Stanford's pre-Pac-12 schedule wraps up at home on Saturday, December 28 against UC Davis.
Stanford returns four starters and 11 letterwinners to a team that went 31-5, won its 13th Pac-12 Tournament title and advanced to the program's 20th Elite Eight in 2018-19.
