Volleyball 101

STANFORD, Calif. – Led by head coach Kevin Hambly, the Stanford women's volleyball program will host a free Volleyball 101 event on Aug. 20 in Maples Pavilion.

The event will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and is geared towards adults interested in learning more about the intricacies of the sport of volleyball. Due to NCAA compliance regulations, students in 7th-12th grade will not be permitted.

Topics to be covered include rules of the game, basic terminology and not-so-basic terminology, a crash course on rotations and an explanation of the match statistics. The evening will also touch on philosophy and systems (basic, offensive and defensive), tactical in-match decisions and scouting.

The event will end with a question and answer session with Coach Hambly, who begins his third season on The Farm in 2019. To RSVP, please fill out the information below.
