STANFORD, Calif. – Six home events, including the prestigious Stanford Invitational, highlight an exciting 2019 home schedule for Stanford men's water polo.
The Cardinal, an NCAA finalist last season, welcomes California, UCLA, Pepperdine, UC Santa Barbara and San Jose State to Avery Aquatic Center this fall. The Cardinal will also host one of the season's premiere tournaments, the Stanford Invitational, in the middle of September.

The 2019 campaign opens in Annapolis, Maryland, as the Cardinal competes in the Navy Invitational Sept. 7-8.
The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation portion of the schedule begins with a Nov. 2 date against USC in Los Angeles, featuring a rematch of the 2018 NCAA Championship contest. The Golden Bears visit Avery Aquatic Center for the 2019 Big Splash on Saturday, Nov. 9. Stanford closes its home slate against UCLA on Saturday, Nov. 16.
Stanford, the defending MPSF regular-season and tournament champions, will compete in the MPSF Championships in Berkeley, California, Nov. 22-24. Pacific will play host to the 2019 NCAA Championships in Stockton, California, Dec. 7-8.
Stanford returns the majority of its roster in 2019, highlighted by Peter J. Cutino award winner and ACWPC National Player of the Year, Ben Hallock. The Cardinal finished last season 21-3 overall, reaching the NCAA title match. Led by the Dunlevie Family Director of Men's Water Polo, John Vargas, Stanford returns an experienced group that includes six of its top seven scorers and 13 letterwinners from last season.
