Conference Slate Takes Shape

SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 Conference announced the date windows and home/away designations for the 2019-20 men's basketball season.

While the home/away designations are set for each week, exact dates and order of opponents within each five-day window will be announced once television selections are complete. Selections are expected to be finalized in early September by the conference's television partners.

For the eighth time in the past 10 years, Stanford will open the Pac-12 slate at home. The Cardinal will host California to begin the conference slate for the third time in the past seven seasons, when the Bay Area rivals meet during the first week in January at Maples Pavilion.

Stanford closes the regular season on the road for the fifth time in the last six seasons, traveling to the Beaver State to face the Oregon schools during the first week of March. It marks the first time since 2012, the Cardinal will conclude the regular-season slate in Oregon.

Stanford will not host UCLA and USC and will not travel to Arizona and Arizona State during the 2019-20 conference slate. The Pac-12 will play a 20-game conference schedule beginning with the 2020-21 season.

The Cardinal previously announced its 13-game nonconference schedule, which includes 11 games in the Bay Area. Stanford's nonconference slate includes six teams who appeared in the postseason last year, highlighted by a Dec. 29 date with Kansas at Maples Pavilion.
