STANFORD, Calif. - After wrapping up the top spot in Pool B with a win over host Peru on Friday, the No. 14 U.S. Women's National Team, featuring Stanford's Kelsey Bing in goal, posted a runaway 9-0 victory over Cuba on Sunday to advance to the semifinal round of the Pan American Games.
In the final quarterfinal match of the day at the 2019 event in Lima, Peru at the Villa Maria Triunfo complex, USA tallied five goals in the third quarter alone en route to posting the 9-0 shutout.
Team USA has advanced to the Pan American Games semifinals where they will face No. 18 Canada on Tuesday, August 6 at 3:15 p.m. PT.
