Set The Expectation

• Stanford returns home for a crucial Pac-12 matchup against Oregon on Saturday afternoon in Stanford Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. PT on ESPN.

• Stanford is the winningest Pac-12 program of the decade. The Cardinal has won 95 games since the start of the 2010 season, the sixth-most in college football.

• Bradford M. Freeman Director of Football David Shaw is in his ninth season as Stanford’s head coach. His 83 wins make him the winningest coach in program history.

• The Cardinal has gone to 10 straight bowl games, the longest streak in school history and the longest active streak in the Pac-12.

• Stanford is 17-0 at home under David Shaw in nonconference games. The Cardinal has won its past 22 home nonconference games, with the last loss coming in 2007 against Notre Dame.

• Under Shaw, Stanford is 20-7 coming off a loss and 5-0 coming off back-to-back losses.

• Stanford is 72-7 when leading at halftime under David Shaw and has won 56 of its last 59 games when leading after three quarters.

• Stanford is in the midst of playing arguably the nation’s toughest schedule in 2019. The Cardinal began at home against 2018 Big Ten West champion Northwestern, while their other non-conference games were at No. 17/16 UCF and at home against No. 7/7 Notre Dame to finish the regular season.

• In Pac-12 play, Stanford opened at USC and resumes conference play against No. 16/17 Oregon this week. After this week, the Cardinal travels to Oregon State, who is on a bye this week, before returning home to host No. 22/21 Washington. After Washington, Stanford hosts UCLA and Arizona at home in October before traveling to Colorado and No. 19/19 Washington State in November prior to hosting No. 23/23 California in the 122nd Big Game.

• Stanford has not allowed a first quarter touchdown in five of the last six games it has played, dating back to the final three games of the 2018 season.

• The Cardinal played 13 true freshmen in Saturday’s game at UCF.

• Stanford is 51-8 inside Stanford Stadium since the start of the 2010 season.
