STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford was one of 88 Division I men's swimming and diving programs to earn Academic All-America status from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, as announced this week.
The award recognizes teams that achieved a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2018 fall semester, with 688 total collegiate swimming and diving teams making the list. The Cardinal, which sits at No. 7 in the latest CSCAA top-25 poll, owned a 3.31 GPA in the fall.
Last season, Stanford had a league-high 17 student-athletes earn Pac-12 All-Academic status. Stanford's 11 CSCAA first-team Academic All-America nods were the most of any Division I program.
