Enter-to-Win Official Rules
To provide fair and equal chance of winning to all, the following are the official rules for the contests.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE CHANCES OF WINNING.
- Eligibility: To enter individuals must be eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry and legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia. This Contest is void where prohibited by law. Employees of the Stanford University Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (“Department”) and their immediate family members or persons residing in the same household as the employees, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate in the Contest. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
- Contest Period: Entries will be accepted starting on October 30, 2019, through April 7, 2020 (“Contest Period”). All entries must be received by 11:59 PM PST on April, 7 2020.
- How to Enter: Contestants must adhere to the official rules provided within the email received or on the gostanford.com website. The entry must fulfill all Contest requirements, as specified, for the contestant to be eligible to win a prize. Limit one (1) entry, per survey, per person, per email address. Contestants may not enter more times than indicated by using multiple email addresses, identities or devices in an attempt to circumvent the rules. To enter contestants must submit a postgame survey provided within the email received or on the website. If contestants are unable to enter online, they may also send a postcard with name, address, phone number and email address to Stanford Postgame Survey Enter-to-Win, c/o Marketing Department, 641 E. Campus Drive, Stanford, CA 94305. Entries that are incomplete or do not adhere to the rules or specifications may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Department.
- Prizes: The winners of the Contest may receive either one (1) pair of 2020 home basketball season tickets or one (1) pair of 2020 home basketball courtside seats, at the sole discretion of the Department. All prizes are accepted as awarded. Prizes are not transferable, redeemable for cash or exchangeable for any other prize. The Department reserves the right to substitute any listed prize for one of equal or greater value for any reason.
- Winner Selection and Notification: The Department will select the winners randomly from all valid entries received. If an entry is illegible or does not supply all required information, the entry will be deemed invalid and another entry will be selected. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. Potential winners will be notified by email or phone call by December 20, 2019. Department shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive notices due to spam, junk email or other security settings or for Winner’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If a winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to claim the prize within three (3) business days from the time award notification was sent, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate Winner selected. Receipt of the prize offered in this Contest is conditioned upon compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY WINNER (AT DEPARTMENT SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.
- Terms & Conditions: By participating, each contestant agrees: (a) to abide by these Official Rules and decisions of the Department, which shall be final in all respects relating to this Contests; (b) to release, discharge and hold harmless the Department, and its respective trustees, officers, directors, affiliates, employees, agencies, and representatives (collectively, "Released Parties") from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Contest or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any awarded prize (or portion thereof), including any/all travel/activity related thereto; and (c) to the use of his/her/their name, address (city and state), voice, photograph, image and/or other likeness for programing, advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes in any and all media, now or hereafter known, worldwide and on the Internet, and in perpetuity by the Department, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) or additional consents from the contestants or any third party and with notice, but without prior approval or inspection.
The Department has the sole discretion to terminate this Contest at any time or extend the dates of this Contest. The Department retains the right to amend these rules at any time for any reason.
All entries become the property of the Department. The data contestants provide with the submission of an entry or that may be collected about the contestants through the Contest is subject to the Privacy Policy stated on the Department website, and such information may be used for promotional and marketing purposes by the Department or its affiliates. - Choice of Laws: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these rules, or the rights and obligations of the contestants and the Department in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of California, USA.
