STANFORD, Calif. - Highlighted by a near-perfect run from skipper Hallie Schiffman and crew Laurel Foster in B division, Stanford sailing captured the 2019 Women's Fall Pacific Coast Championship last weekend in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
Schiffman and Foster finished first in B division, winning eight of the nine races in the division to run away with the top honors. Hawaii followed in second, while USC captured third.
Skipper AnaClare Sole and crew Patricia Gerli finished fourth in A division to ensure Stanford finished atop the table in the overall team standings. The duo managed four top-three finishes, including capturing second place in the fifth and sixth legs, respectively. California Maritime Academy won A division, followed by host Cal Poly and USC with a share of second place.
The Cardinal will now prepare for the 2019 Match Racing National Championship from November 2-3 in Marblehead, Mass.
