CYPRESS POINT – Stanford Men's Golf split a pair of Monday matches at the 2019 Cypress Point Classic, defeating fifth-seeded USC in the morning match before falling to top-seeded Duke in the afternoon. The Cardinal, who is seeded fourth, will square off with No. 3 UCLA on Tuesday in singles matches for third place.
 
Stanford won its morning match, 2-1, with the first two matches tying. The pairing of David Snyder and Barclay Brown pulled off a 2&1 victory to advance the Cardinal. In the afternoon match, Ethan Ng and Nate Menon pulled out a win in the first match, but Stanford lost matches two and three to fall to the Blue Devils.

Duke will take on No. 2 Georgia Tech on Tuesday for the championship after downing No. 8 Alabama in the morning, 3-0. No. 2 Georgia Tech advanced to the championship after beating Cal 2-0 this morning and UCLA this afternoon.
 
In the consolation bracket, No. 8 Alabama defeated USC, 2-1, and will take on No. 6 Illinois tomorrow for fifth place. The Illini defeated Cal on Monday afternoon, 2-1. No. 5 USC will meet No. 8 Cal for seventh place.
