  • Member of the Aloha Region Team at the 2018 U.S. High Performance Championships (2nd place Youth International Division)

Kosty on Browne: "We are excited to bring in this fast rising athlete from the state of Hawaii. We've always known that when we are most successful as a program, we have received a strong influence in our culture by our Hawaiian-raised players. Kupono brings that to us. As a volleyball player, he is a fluid, multi-skilled outside hitter that has a complete game. As good as he is, Kupono is just starting to come into his own. We feel that he has the tools to make an impact at the next level.

"Kupono is also typical of our outstanding Stanford student-athlete. A great citizen that is driven to excel in any endeavor. His enthusiasm is noticeable right away. He will do great things at Stanford!"

Aidan Peters • 6-3 • OH/L • Loyola High School • Manhattan Beach, Calif.

  • 2019 All-Serra League and League Champion
  • Reached the semifinals in CIF (2019)
  • 2019 semifinalist in state championship tournament
  • Plays for MB Surf VBC, captaining his team
  • Earned a bronze medal at the 2019 U.S. Junior National Championships (17 Open Division) and was named All-Tournament Team

Kosty on Peters: "We are very fortunate to have Aidan Peters join our Stanford family. When you talk about the right fit, he is it. Aidan is young man who is excited about Stanford academics and the game of volleyball. He continues to accomplish great things in both worlds.

"I would describe Aidan as a highly intelligent volleyball player that excels in ball control and the details of the game. A very good athlete, he can produce as an offensive player, but it is his overall game that will define him as a player. He gives us a player that can play both the outside hitter and the libero position."

Luke Turner • 6-6 • OH • Loyola High School • Hermosa Beach, Calif.

  • VolleyballMag.com High School All-America second team (2018)
  • 2019 CIF semifinalist

  • MVP and All-Tournament Team selection at the 2019 U.S. Junior National Championships (17 Open Division)
  • Father, Ryan Turner, played football at Stanford from 1992-95

Kosty on Turner: "One of the top recruits in the 2020 class, Luke will help our team in many ways. He is a big outside hitter with great ball-handling skills and high volleyball IQ. I think what impresses us the most is his ability to make the clutch plays when the moment is at its biggest. He is, simply, a winner.

"Aside from his athletic talents, Luke is the kind of student-athlete that will thrive at Stanford. He is extremely dedicated to success yet is very humble. With his father being an alumnus of Stanford football, he has grown up in the Cardinal culture. We expect that he will fit in well with the volleyball team and the overall Stanford community."
